It is believed to be the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by the Angel Gabriel. The exact date of this night is not certain, but it is believed to be one of the odd-numbered nights in the last ten days of Ramadan.

Muslims believe that worship and prayer during this night are particularly powerful and rewarding, and that one's sins can be forgiven if they sincerely seek forgiveness and guidance from Allah. Many Muslims spend the night in prayer, reciting the Quran, and making supplications to Allah.

It is a night of great spiritual significance, and Muslims all over the world observe it with special prayers, charity, and acts of kindness. It is a time for reflection, repentance, and seeking Allah's blessings and mercy.
